14-22 Sept Korea trip

i guess better blog about my Korea trip before i totally forget..

and before month end closing..busy busy period..

when we do our packing.. i checked their weather forecast..
between 17 - 27 degrees.. didn't know if it will be cold like apr..
if it's really that cold then i will buy thicker clothings there!
so i brought shorts and dress and just in case leggings/caridgans!
BUT DIDN'T USE AT ALL! cos it was freaking hot!!!! like sg -_-"
early morning and night only cool breeze here and there

B worse.. he packed 2 super thick sweater over zzz

my korean friend said i will be there in time to see
autumn leaves turn brown.. but NO! the leaves still green!!
only a few pcs of brown autumn leaves on the ground lol

damn suey.. Apr wanna see cherry blossom see bare trees..
Sept wanna see autumn trees but only saw green trees..
next up! i wanna see snow.. but i scare i die of cold lol

(Day 1 - 14 September 2013, Sat)

tiki me refused to call cab to save money lol

end up waiting 15-20 mins under the hot sun.. zzz

reach airport at around 1pm..

2.30pm flight.. last min bought SQ promo tixs..

explains why the flight timing sucks..

checked-in but since it's still early we had lunch at T3..

sad for awhile.. i thought we would be sitting apart..

how to survive a 6 hrs flight aloneeeeeeeeee?

lucky the seats are together.. HENGGGGG T___T

yummy inflight meal.. grilled chicken with mashed potatoes..

i fell asleep and woke up just in time to see Taiwan below us rofl

sg time is 1hr behind..

landed around 10.30pm kst..

Sunny came to fetch us.. so nice of her..

cos we could have taken the bus ourselves..

initally i thought it's a van that is picking us up..

took the last bus to yeoksam.. bus ride is around 1hr..

then we took a cab to our hotel at gangnam..

both sunny and cab driver duno how to go to hotel..

lucky i understand what they saying..

pass them the address of the hotel and map lol

*feeling proud* hahahaha

the room is suprisingly big..

Sunny choose some of our casual outfit to bring to the studio..

and see what are we lacking so we could buy the next day..

both of us super love the shower head lol...

went out to explore the place for a while..

at GS25 their local "7-11" haha

slept at around 2am kst..

(Day 2 - 15 September 2013, Sun)

woke up at 10am.. cos Sunny is picking up us at 11am..

gown fitting.. 12 - 2pm

i think the photos here quite cui.. so i wouldn't post online haha..

helpful staff.. they will give us recommendations..

on which gown/suit colour will suit us best..

their white gown selection is good..

but evening gown is cui ttm also becos the people

there wear hanbok instead of evening gown..

in the end i choose 2 white gowns

really love the 2 gowns that i choose..

1 silky.. 1 lacey mermaid gown..

1 black evening gown..

1 complimentary cocktail dress (random)

B got 2 suit from them + 1 complimentary suit

after our fitting.. cab down to another location for my medicure~

i think the shop is called "Witch Nails" can't remember..

the lady who did my nails is very nice..

when she finished.. she said "tee per ni si tiee"

means tiffany style.. she do nails for SNSD!!!!

BUT it's not cheap at all!!!

120,000 won = $140 T__T

then had lunch at gangnam area..

i remember taking photos of the food..

but duno where it went to -___-"

1st meal cost around S$25?

did some shopping for our shoot..

bought a plain white tee and skinny jeans for myself..

white tee was 5,000 won (S$6) and jeans at 35,000 won (S$42)

B bought a sweater and a necklace.. 62,000 won (S$74) -_-"

Sunny went off for work while we stayed there and shop for awhile more..

train-ed back to hotel but realised didn't bring map!!!

lucky i remember how many junctions we have to walk..

hot hot day so i decided to change out of my long sleeve dress -_-

changed into my newly bought white tee and skinny jeans..

cos the jeans very tight.. need to keep wearing to loosen it..

went up to check out the hotel's pool..

plans end earlier than we expected..

it's like 3-4pm.. last min we decide to go Itaewon..

cute cute autumn leave~

chanced upon this beautiful cathedral while walking to subway..

we didn't know which exit so we followed a group of angmoh lol

nothing much to see.. mainly nice looking restuarants only..

my first encounter with korean dogs ahahaha..

the owner thought i was korean.. happily talking to me in korean..

walked around for 2 hrs and train-ed back to yeoksam station..

went around the neighbourhood to search for foooooood

and we found this local eatery and decided to try!

unlimited supplies of side dish and water haha

3,000 won (S$3.50) kimbap

4,500 won (S$5.40) B's bibimbap

4,500 won (S$5.40) my kimchi chiggae

too spicy to my liking.. couldn't finish =S

turn in early for the late so we won't look tired for the shoot..

(Day 3 - 16 September 2013, Mon)

slept straight 12hrs.. shiokkkkkkkk~

auto wake up at 9.30am kst.. since it's still early..

went down to enjoy the chilly wind and eat breakfast!

Sunny came to fetch us at around noon..

cab over to A. by BOM..

alot of artistes/idols come here for makeup!

Basement is their hair studio

level 1 is their makeup studio

look at our cui face..

choosing our hairstyle~~

the boss gave us recommedations on what

to do for our hair.. hair colour/hair style..

but my hair style i choose myself..

stupid camwhore

they asked me what kind of makeup i want..

KOREAN LAH OF COS!

haha super natural kind of makeup with thick eyebrows lol..

me! after the 1st round of makeup!

B! after his hair dye and makeup.. so fast!

i have super thin hair.. so they need to attach extensions..

the end product is sooooooooo nice!

the hairstyle is exactly what i wanted..

after they set my hair i change into the gown

and they do makeup on my shoulder area..

yimu tied the gown sooooooooo tight!

for the "S" line.. so hard to breathe!!

i thought i was going to dieeeeee

i didn't dare to eat/drink for that day..

* yimu - a nicer name for ahjumma/auntie

the bill for the my hair extensions and hair dye-ing for both of us cost

freaking 500,000 won!!!!!!!!! S$600 T____T

and they said already gave us 20% discount..

PAIN PAIN PAIN..

but for the once in a lifetime celebrity treatment..

i guess it's worth.. it's not about the money~ money~ money~ T.T

the korean signature thick eyebrow!

the makeup is exactly what i wanted too T__T

the stylist and makeup artist there are super patient..

i think they take pride in their work and not rush..

my hair was super flat but they blow it layer by layer to make the volume..

the fake hair extensions also put in layer by layer and curl my hair bit by bit..

even their top eye lash they put in bit by bit to make it look more natural!

KOREANS ARE PERFECT!

now i'm worried about my AD makeup

i don't want wayang makeup :(((((

cab down to Obra Maestra

they gave us a private room to have lunch..

but i didn't eat T___T luckily wasn't really hungry too

Sunny prepared 爱心便当 for everyone.. so nice..

Photoshoot start at 6pm.. end at 10pm..

total changed 2 gown, 1 evening gown, 1 cocktail dress

1 of my mini purple dress + 2 causal (white tee/jeans + hiphop style)

B say don't post our shoot online first..

i will wait patiently for the photos from them :)

should take around 2-3 weeks for the softcopy to come

i didn't preview any photos on their side..

i want it to be a surprise hahaha xD

1 week after we come back from Korea~ efficient :)*

and they were impressed with my korean language standard..

too bad i understand but cannot talk.. talk 1 piece 1 piece :(

the assistant said.. first time he no need to translate much..

cos i can understand like 60-70% of what they said.. good enough :p

Ms. photograhper can see that we liked bigbang..

very obvious bcos we are only dancing to their songs haha

she played bigbang songs all the way.. she even say like bb fanmeet haha

B and me keep wanting to dance.. tapping our legs..

she said: STOP TAPPING YOUR LEGS! LATER PHOTO BLUR!

even yimu know how to sing bigbang songs.. awesome or what! kkk

and i thought B and me will have a hard time trying to remove everything

but nice yimu helped me remove everything and tie a cute pony tail for me..

have samgyeopsal for dinner cum supper..

FINALLY CAN EAT LIKE NO TOMORROW!!!

treat Sunny for dinner.. for all her effort this 2 days :)

accompany Sunny to wait for cab since it's late..

(Day 4 - 17 September 2013, Tue)

start of our free and easy trip..

ate the 爱心便当 from yesterday for breakfast

last min B say don't wanna go lotte world.. *heng*

last min B say he wanna go Jay Park's company..

since it's nearby so i thought why not?

BUT WE GOT LOST!

cos we didn't rent the stupid egg.. Zzz

AND I WILL NEVER USE GOOGLE MAP ANYMORE!

went to a nearby cafe.. download naver map..

and we realised we walked 1 big round..

lucky almost everywhere got free wifi T_T

* naver map is super accurate and detailed but need to type in korean

B say it's all part and parcel of F&F what.. lol

we managed to chanced upon a very very big temple..

hot hot day.. so we didn't walk the entire temple..

this is the place where lee minho film Drama Faith..

finally found Jay Park's company.. omggggg T_T

B went into the office to ask if we could go up..

i knew we counldn't but he didn't believe me lol

he ask the person: Is Jay Park around?

train-ed down to Cheongdam station for GD's exhibition!

so many fangirls around so didn't get lost.. just follow.. haha

no photography allowed.. he auctioned all his photos inside..

she can speak eng! our saviour~ cos we didn't know what to order

she recommend us pig/cow intestine and pork ribs..

walk and walk around for like 30mins?

asked for directions then blind walking again..

lucky arrived 3mins before the show start T_T

last show for the day @ 9pm.. show last around 20mins..

train back to Yeoksam.. ice latte everyday for B lol

(Day 5 - 18 September 2013, Wed)

left Grammos Hotel at around 10.30am

ask the hotel staff to on call cab for us to Myeongdong..

this cab uncle knew i can understand korean..

he talk and talk happily but i didn't dare to reply much

after 20mins ride (around S$15) we reached Myeongdong around 11am

check-in time is at 2pm so we went to have lunch first..

B saw BSX first and totally forget about his hunger..

special event 18 - 20 Sept..

spend 100,000 won and get 1 tumbler for free

couple tee again lol

i liked this tee since my last trip..

but didn't get cos i think it's quite ex..

B liked it too.. so we decided to buy..

79,600 won (S$95) for 2 T__T

in the end, B really bought 200,000 won worth of stuff from there zzz

finally the hunger kicked in.. found a small shop to eat lunch~

(Day 6 - 19 September 2013, Thu)

initial plan to travel to Nami Island

but i wasn't really confident to travel to sub urban areas..

and i scare B wouldn't like or he will feel bored :(

so plans changed again lol

purposely wear our couple polo tee from BSX

for seoul tower cos of the love locks.. chessy~

brunch at smoothie king.. super healthy.. blah~

train over to Yeouinara station, Exit 3 for Hangang River Cruise..

tickets cost around 12,000 won (S$14.30) per pax.. 1 hr ride~

B happily snapping photos cos there is 1 ep of running man

was filmed around there.. this super fanboy lmao

was happily sitting down enjoying the breeze until .........

so we walked away and spot pretty girls in hanbok :p

went back to Myeongdong.. grabbed some street food..

the star thingy is yummy honeycomb 1,000 won (S$1.20)

the egg thingy is some sponge cake with egg on top O.o

we camwhore around for abit before walking downhill back to hotel..

B mentioned that he wanna try the food over there

so we trained over to Seoul Station, Exit 1

brought him to the high tech food court that

i tried the previous time.. haha

after dinner we head over to Lotte Mart..

(Day 7 - 20 September 2013, Fri)

head over to bonjuk for breakfast

famous porridge raved by foreigners

not cheap not cheap.. don't mind eating ONCE!

after breakfast we head down to Ewha Woman's University, Exit 2 or 3

the shopping here is super cheap cos cater more to student's budget..

walked around their campus for awhile.. so beautiful..

bought this red checkered shirt at BSX at only 10,000 won (S$12) woots

if you reallyyyyyyyy want to go.. just take a bus up -_-

but i think the bus to go up also very crowded zzz

B the bottomless pit is hungry again lol

actually wanna go up to their observatory but long queue again *lazy*

and of cos you need to pay again to go up.. so give up! waste time -_-

anyway my main purpose to go up is to see the place for love locks!!!

i thought we should stay longer since we spend so much time queuing to come up..

but no point lah.. nothing much up there also.. x333

quite easy to find.. you will see a snoopy promoting there infront of BSX

this dalmatian dog licked our straws.. "punished" by mummy haha

and this little baby just climbed onto me..

finds a comfortable position and sleep for like 30mins?
